Do you use your cell phone while driving?

We want to remind you that as of July 1, 2018, the Hands-Free Georgia Act prohibits drivers from operating a wireless communication device or stand-alone electronic device while driving. Drivers may only use voice commands via an earpiece, headphone device or device worn on the wrist.

All drivers under 18 years old years old are banned from using a wireless communication device or stand-alone electronic device, even with a hands-free device. School bus drivers cannot use a cell phone while loading and unloading passengers, nor while the bus is in motion.

And ALL drivers, regardless of age, are banned from texting while behind the wheel.

If a navigation app must be used, set it before departing, and do not touch it during your trip. So, plan ahead and stay safe on the road!
